Age Policy
Surrey Casino is strictly for players aged 19 and over, with no exceptions. This page explains how we check age, what happens if a minor gets past our verification, and which tools families can use at home.
Who is allowed to play at Surrey Casino?
Registration requires a minimum age of 19.
The legal gambling age in British Columbia is 19, and all players on our site must meet it. Registration is open only in regions where local law permits online gambling, and we follow Canadian requirements for anti-money laundering, age verification and identity checks. Only verified adult account holders may open an account, claim Promotions or join Surrey Rewards.
How is my age verified?
We confirm your age before accepting any deposit.
During registration, you enter your date of birth, and we check it with electronic identity verification. If that check is inconclusive, we request official photo ID, such as a valid passport, a provincial photo ID card or a driver's licence. Deposits start at C$10, and no deposit of any size is accepted until your age is confirmed. Every payment method must also belong to the account holder, which prevents a child from using a parent's card.
How can I keep minors away from my devices?
Simple everyday steps help stop young people from reaching your account.
If a laptop, tablet or phone in your home is also used by children or teenagers, take these steps:
- Sign out when you finish playing rather than just closing the window
- Turn off password and payment saving in your browser
- Secure every device with a fingerprint lock, a PIN or a password
- Keep cards, e-wallet logins and verification emails out of reach
- Give children a separate user profile on shared computers
You are responsible for everything that happens on your account, including play by any other person who uses it.
What happens if a minor uses an account?
The account is shut at once and all play is voided.
We take immediate action when we discover a player under 19 holding an account, or a minor playing through an adult's account:
- We lock the account and cancel every bet.
- Any winnings are forfeited.
- Once we confirm who owns the original payment method, deposits are refunded to it.
- The details are recorded so that a new account cannot be opened.
If an adult knowingly let a minor play, we also close the adult's account under our Terms of Service.
Which parental controls and filters can I use?
Free tools let parents block gambling content at home.
Many phones, tablets and computers come with family settings that restrict app downloads and block adult websites. Home routers and internet providers frequently offer filtering across the whole network, covering every connected device. Specialist filtering software can block gambling sites as a category. Internet Matters offers free, practical advice for parents setting up these controls. Our Your Privacy and About Cookies pages describe what we store on your device.
Where can I report a player I think is underage?
Every report sent by email is followed up.
To report a suspected minor playing at Surrey Casino, email [email protected] and include every detail you can, for example the account's username or its registered email address. Every report is handled in confidence. You may send general questions to the same address.
